Small Moroccan Handmade Cooking Tagine Pot Terracotta (12 x 19.5 cm)
Tagine or tajine is the name of the cone-shaped traditional cookware in Morocco (North Africa) and made of ceramic or unglazed clay with low sides and round base.
The gentle traditional cooking method keeps all vitamins and the natural aroma of the ingredients that makes dish very tasty and healthy. Tagines are ideal for cooking fish, meat, poultry and vegetables. The olive oil can intensify the taste of the dish.
Fill the tagine with the ingredients and place in the oven. on the gas hob or on the charcoal grill. The heat rises steam that condenses and drips down at the lid.
This keeps the liquid and the food cooks in its own juice. For a real oriental note you can add some turmeric, saffron or cumin.
